Career Panels

Young Professionals in Energy NYC hosts energy “Career Panels” especially catered towards high schoolers and undergraduates interested in pursuing careers in clean energy. If you’re an energy professional interested in sharing your knowledge, apply to be a speaker at one of these panels and learn more about the importance of our efforts below.

What are Career Panels?

YPE NYC believes education is a critical part of our mission to facilitate the advancement of young energy professionals in NYC. Our push for equitable access to professional development opportunities for the next generation of energy leaders in our community is just one way we aim to fulfill this mission. In late 2020, we partnered with the CityParks Foundation’s Learn Program and held the first of what would become our “Clean Energy Careers” panel series.

In these career panels, we bring together industry leaders to discuss career paths, higher education, establishing a personal narrative, and more. This educational content, while relevant to all, is especially catered towards high schoolers and undergraduates interested in pursuing careers in clean energy.

I’m interested in speaking at a Career Panel!

Are you interested in sharing your experiences and making a real impact? We host multiple career panels per year, and we’re always looking for speakers to provide our students with insight into successful professional development.

If selected, speakers can expect to share a bio and headshot, prepare their own responses for panel questions (questions provided by YPE NYC), join a brief tech check session prior to the event, speak at a career panel, and of course, have fun! All events are being held virtually at this time.

Whether you have one or more years of energy field experience, feel free to apply below!
