Mentorship Director

Elissa is the Director of the Clean Energy Communities Program (CECP) at Solar One. CECP is a program funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) which provides direct technical assistance and grant funding to municipalities that complete High Impact Actions to reduce their carbon emissions. There, she supports three full-time staff members that are embedded within the Mayor’s Office of Climate & Sustainability (MOC&S) and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services Division of Energy Management (DCAS DEM), as well as a Community Campaigns Coordinator who works with community-based organizations throughout New York City to help launch clean energy campaigns focused on solar, electrification, and energy efficiency. Previously, she was a NYSERDA Clean Energy Coordinator under the CECP program where she was embedded in the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability. There, she contributed to the City’s program development and data management, leveraging energy and emissions data to support ambitious GHG reductions. Elissa holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.S. in Environmental Geoscience from Boston College.
