Mei Poon

Events Director

Mei Poon is a Project Specialist in Energy Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Con Edison, where she manages regulatory proceedings and develops policy positions to advance the company's and the State's clean energy goals. Previously she helped structure Energy Efficiency pilot programs, namely leading the Pay-for-Performance project leveraging real-time meter data. Prior to joining Con Edison, Mei worked for a New York-based energy consultancy, where her project work was focused on retail energy markets, energy technology research, and marketing strategies for the largest utilities in the Northeast. She also worked for a solar startup in Hong Kong, and supported GE Solar in optimizing operational efficiencies as part of the Renewable Energy Leadership Program. She started her career in financial services, supporting the Fixed Income products and Corporate Treasury teams at JPMorgan Chase. She holds an MBA from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Florida. She enjoys meeting fellow energy professionals and served as a mentor for the Northeast Cleantech Open. Frequent runner, avid traveler, currently learning German.
